Please begin all applications via CaliforniaColleges.edu Students will be prompted to login with their Microsoft (school) login to access California Colleges.

College Options

Explore the CSU System

Students must meet minimum GPA requirements (2.0 for Fresno State, 2.5 for all other CSU campuses).
Students must meet all A-G requirements
Applications are now open, but students may not submit until October 1.

Explore the UC System

Students must meet minimum GPA requirement of a 3.0.
Students must meet all A-G requirements
Applications for all UC campuses are now open, but students may not submit until November 1.

Explore the CCC System

All seniors are expected to apply to a local community college, whether it be their first plan or backup plan.
Seniors will complete the whole enrollment process throughout their senior year.
Two years of community college is free for any graduating senior entering college for the first time.

2026-2027 FAFSA– Application opens October 1

DREAM Act Application– For students who are undocumented and unable to file a FAFSA application.

Important Senior Dates

Miscellaneous Senior Information

Your name will be printed on your diploma as it appears on your birth certificate or legal name change documentation. Your LEGAL NAME is the only name that can be printed on your diploma, not a preferred name. If you are in need of a name change for your diploma, please see the Registrar in the front office no later than February 2026. Name changes can only be made with proof of a birth certificate or legal name change documentation.

Walking Partner

Seniors have the option of selecting their own walking partners for graduation. Valedictorians will not choose partners as they will lead the procession and be seated on stage. Although walking partners do not need to be decided at this time, be sure to think about who you want to walk with. Choose wisely and do not commit too soon. There will be no rearrangement once partners are finalized during the first graduation practice. More information to come.

Graduation Speech/National Anthem Auditions

Graduation Speeches:
Are you interested in taking a lead in graduation? Auditions for graduation speeches will take place in April. Students will be required to submit their written speech ahead of auditions. More information to come!

National Anthem:
A senior, or group of seniors, will be selected to sing the National Anthem during the graduation ceremony. Auditions will be held in April. Listen to TMH for audition date and location.

Grad Night

Senior Check Out

Seniors will check out on May 28, 2027. They will only receive their cap and gown if they have completed all necessary credits.

Students will be given their senior check-out forms in advance to settle outstanding bills and return library books. Signatures from Library and Finance are required on check-out forms.

On senior check-out day, students will attend every class for the entire period. Teachers will sign the students’ check-out form. At the end of the school day, students will report to the cafeteria for final clearance. Caps and gowns will be available for pickup once students are cleared. CART students do not need to bring CART final grades.

Attending a four-year college?

If you are attending Fresno State, you do not need to send Hoover or Fresno City College transcripts. Fresno Unified will send them for you.
If you are attending any other four-year college, you need to request transcripts through parchment. Click the link below that says "Current Seniors: Click here to request Transcripts"
Do not complete this step until after graduation.

Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB): Students must take this test to enlist in the military. The ASVAB is typically offered twice a year at Hoover High School. Students should listen to the announcements and check their school email regularly for more information.
