Good evening, Hoover families, this is Principal Rebecca Wheeler—
This is the last week of the first semester. Teachers will be giving finals on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week. Although we have adjusted the bell schedule within each day to give longer time for two finals per day, the start and end times of each day remain the same as usual. Friday is a full day of school. After Friday, we will be on Winter Break for three weeks until January 9th, the beginning of the new semester. Report cards will be mailed home in January, near the beginning of the semester.
In these last days of the semester, it’s not too late for students to improve grades. Teachers are available and willing to help, so please encourage your student to check in with teachers and get what they need. Freshmen are invited to stay after school tomorrow—Monday—for our Freshman, Finals, and Fun event. Students will have the opportunity to study for finals, connect with student leaders, and enjoy a treat. Tutorial is also available after school every day.
It has been a positive and activity-filled first semester. Thank you for all of your support in helping your students do their best. We all wish you and your family a safe and happy holiday, and we look forward to seeing students again in January!
